Losing weight is not easy. I have been there. I know how frustrating it can be when you are naturally trying to lose weight, but none of the weight loss techniques you use yields results. It’s often painful when you invest time and money on weight loss, yet you see no changes happening in your body. Maybe, I should have said one thing in the beginning: losing weight isn’t going to be easy. It is going to be a pain in the ass, and you have to keep up with whatever weight loss technique you are using if you want to see the best results.

There are myths. There are misleading ideas. In short, a bunch of information you read on the internet about weight loss aren’t always solid enough. The get rich quick yoyos, who want to make a fortune from your money, often provide the so-called weight loss products, and they claim that these supplements take less than 30 days to help you lose weight. Damn! There is no such thing as overnight weight loss. In fact, if I were able to lose all the weight I’d gained in the past overnight, I swear I would. Let tell you a story about me.

My name is Emily. I am a young, ambitious, honest and hardworking lady. I started gaining weight when I was thirteen. To the world, I was eating healthy and living a good life. To my parents, I was the best girl who needed to eat well and grow big. I did not know what my friends thought about me; they barely said anything to me about my body size. I was still increasing in size, becoming a huge person I never thought I would be.

But, when I turned twenty, I began to have a different feeling about myself. There was this time when I looked at my female colleagues at work, and I felt that I was missing something. I did not like who I was. I hated my plump body. I wanted to be different; I wanted to look healthier. I feared that if I didn’t do something about how I look, I would add even more weight and become uglier. And just before I forget, I was already in the category of the obese, unfortunately. It is not often pleasing when you cut yourself from the friends’ circle, but sometimes you are forced to, especially when you do not look like the rest of your friend. This was true for me.

Jeremy, a friend I met in college, suggested that I try weight loss pills. I heard about these weight loss pills before; I just did not think that they would take the years of weight loss burden off my shoulder. But, I decided to give it a try. It did not go on well for me unfortunately. I used the pills for thirty days and nothing worked for me. I tried a different product for another thirty days, and still, I did not see any results. AND I BECAME VERY ILL AFTER USING THOSE PILLS.

I later learned that Jeremy hadn’t tried any of these pills. Well, he looked fine to me. He wasn’t the kind of person who had weight to lose. Stress got a better part of me. I had tried two different products, and I didn’t see any results. In short, I wasted 60 days trying to lose weight, and all I ever achieved was nothing but disappointment.

Stress isn’t really something that makes you giggle like a new born who just breastfed; it is a mental condition that steals your strength and desire, and quickly replaces them with sickness and weakness. I actually became sick, and my parents started getting worried about me. My hair shrank, and I was weak beyond normal. My parents took me to the hospital for checkup, and the doctor said that the stress I was going through was a serious mental disorder. He suggested that I needed to manage stress by taking part in activities that keep the mind occupied.
