The proposers of this method want you to abandon all processed foods together with beans, corn, wheat and all other edibles that humans started consuming after the agricultural revolution.  Their claim is that such foods contain low quality carb that is responsible for the word’s obesity menace.

While such allegations are not far from true, the solution that these people suggest is unreasonable. Here is why:

Processed foods aren’t complete devils

Life expectancy today is substantially higher than that of the past. If today foods are the total devils that these people label them to be, you would expect the opposite results. The salt you consume today for instance is safer than the rocks that caveman used to lick.

Surviving is not living

Following a strict plan such as the one paleo dietitians advocate for leaves one with a very narrow range of choices. Soon eating becomes boring and so does your existence.  What is the use of living if you can’t enjoy life itself?

No food is entirely natural

While man underwent evolution, the plants and animals he ate also changed in one way or the other. Without these food list changes, they could not have survived the harsh conditions of today. The assertion that this diet is natural therefore has no strong basis.

There are alternative natural weight loss recipes techniques that are way better than paleolithic diet. These not only spare you the inconveniences of having to abandon your favorite foods but also help you to avoid spending heftily on non tasty stuffs. They include the following:

  • Embracing healthy exercise
