HCG Diet phase 3 recipes

Congratulations on completing the HCG phase 2. Phase 2 must have been a very challenging phase as you had to be on a very low calorie diet. But now, this next phase 3 is a thrilling phase as you get to eat to your heart’s content. However it is advisable to be careful and stick to the phase 3 recipes or else you might start gaining weight. The HCG injections or oral drops are to be stopped now. However it is noteworthy to mention that the HCG stays in the body for the next 72 hrs. Therefore it is necessary to maintain the phase 2 diet in those 72 hrs. During these 72 hrs, it is important to have the similar VLCD diet that was in phase 2. Only after that can you start the transition to the next phase 3. This is the maintenance phase which is 6 weeks long. Here you can start adding new food to your menu. Mostly all food is allowed however, for the first 3 weeks, sugar and starch are still to be avoided. Slowly add sugar and starch in the last 3 weeks of this phase.

Recipe 1: Broccoli Cheese Soup

  • Chicken broth, 4 cups or 1 carton
  • Broccoli florets, 4 cups
  • Heavy cream, 1/2 cup
  • Shredded cheese, 1 cup

Start with boiling the chicken broth along with the broccoli for 5 minutes until broccoli is still crunchy but tender. Blend the mixture into a fine puree. Add some extra pre boiled broccoli, cheese and cream. Serve in a nice soup bowl.

Recipe 2: Chicken Salad

  • Chicken Breasts, precooked and shredded, 3 whole pieces
  • Onion, chopped finely, ½ cup
  • Celery, chopped finely, ½ cup
  • Apple, chopped finely, 1 piece
  • Mayonnaise, ½ cup (sugar-free mayo)
  • Salt to taste or ½ tsp
  • Pepper to taste or ¼ tsp
  • Garlic Powder and Onion Powder – to taste or a pinch.

To make a salad, all you have to do is mix all the ingredients and let it chill for sometime before serving it up.

Recipe 3: Scrambled eggs

  • Butter, 1 Tbsp
  • Chopped Onion, 2 Tbsp
  • Minced Garlic, 1 clove
  • Beaten Eggs, 3-4
  • Grated Parmesan Cheese, 1 Tbsp
  • Grated Mozzarella Cheese, 2 Tbsp
  • Baby Spinach, 1 cup

Start with adding some butter to a heated pan. Add onions and fry them till they are nicely brown. Throw in the garlic after the onions are almost done. Pour the beaten eggs, to that add the cheese. Once the cheese starts to boil add the spinach. Now let the eggs are fried up nicely.

Recipe 4: Cheesy Salsa Chicken

  • Whole Chicken Breast, 2 pieces
  • Salsa sauce, 1 cup
  • Grated Mozzarella cheese, ½ cup
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Garlic powder, a pinch or to taste

Salt the chicken breasts, add some pepper and garlic powder. Simply start by grilling the chicken breast. Top with grated mozzarella cheese; wait till the cheese starts to melt. Pour the salsa all over the chicken and serve it by garnishing with a sprig of parsley.
